Planning For Prior Learning Assessment

Reviewed & Approved Experiences

Note about Transcripts
These courses are different than courses coming in from transfer. In the case of these non-credit courses, we don't record grades. Your certificate of may have a grade on it, 但是我们认为任何经过批准的课程都可以通过考试. 在RWU | UC的官方成绩单上显示的是学分，而不是成绩.
Additional Accepted Credits
The University also accepts credits for review completed by the National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS) 纽约州立大学校董会主席，或由 American Council on Education's CREDIT program. If you find your credit on one of these lists, 您将在先前学习评估申请表上注明证书或培训的名称，并注明是NCCRS或ACE.
New Assessment

A credit determination will be made within 14 working days from submission. If the request is approved, 随请求一起提交的文件将保留在您的正式RWU | UC文件中.

Assessing Non-Credit Online Classes
There are many opportunities to take online courses not for credit. 这些课程的收入来自哈佛EdX、Pluralsite、LinkedIn Learning、Udemy、Coursera等. If you have taken a course from one of these vendors, you may want it to be considered for college level learning.
Portfolio Option for Unique Experiences

What is a Portfolio?

Transfer Options

Assessment of Experience

Transcripts

University Student Conduct Rules

The Portfolio Process
To begin the Portfolio Process you must be accepted and enrolled in courses. However, 您可以通过联系和/或查看PLA门户网站上的需求和流程分解来提前计划. If you are shopping around, or just going through the application process to be admitted to RWU | UC, you can submit an inquiry form as part of your application to UC, and someone will reach out to discuss the portfolio, or click on the links below to learn more about the portfolio option. If you are a current student, you can also reach out to your advisor.
