At RWU, we encourage students to explore all of the many options available to them for majors as well as minors and core concentrations. There are a lot of resources on campus to support students through this process from their faculty academic advisor to professional advisors in the Advising Office and staff in the Center for Career & Professional Development, just to name a few.

Headshot of Natalie AlmeidaNatalie Almeida came to RWU with in interest in politics, a fascination with the media, and a desire to do work related to her Portuguese and Cape Verdean culture. She decided on a unique major and minor combination that fit both her passions. “I used journalism as a way to see how different ethnicities and different people are portrayed in the media,” said Almeida. “I learned how to interact with the media and to understand why things are reported in the way they are.”
